Read what a French critic wrote after one of Pär´s concerts using the Couchet-Taskin:
¨What is so seducing about this young Swedes playing is the constant clarity of his phrasing, a way of
phrasing so well adapted to the feel of each piece he plays. He has found the ideal tempos for the Partita in a-minor by Bach and plays with a certain restrain and feeling of introspection which increases the emotion.
His version of the Pavanne by Louis Couperin was remarcably rendered with the utmost finesse in the noble cadencas and with French elegance.
Then a formidable version of Händels suite in g-minor. There again Lindh found the vigour, l´esprit,
sensuallity which characterizes the works of the composer of ¨Messiah¨.
Qualities which Lindh in
a superior way gave the audience many examples of.
And it was with five sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti that M. Pär Lindh ended this excellent concert.
Once again, Pär Lindh showed astounding technique, mastery and refinement, chiseling out in the manner
of a goldsmith each of these harmonically and rythmically rich pieces.
A fine artist, authentic and inspired.¨

Soundsample
Rameau
Pär with the unique Couchet-Taskin harpsichord built 1771.
This instrument belonged to good freinds of Mozart during his two year long stay in Paris around 1778. He most certainly used it many times for practise, concerts as well as composition work.
On this instrument Pär played some of his more legendary concerts during the eighties.
Pär was perhaps the last pupil of Ruggiero Gerlin in Paris. Mr Gerlin was a foremost student of the great Wanda Landowska. Gerlin in turn was the teacher of most famous harpsichordists of the Baroque revival years of the seventies and eighties.

The Concert Organist
Pär started his carreer as professional organist at the early age of 15 playing in churches around Enköping Sweden.
He studied the instrument for several teachers in both Sweden and France including such prestigious names as
Marie Claire Alain.
Although the harpsichord was predominant during Pärs classical carreer he gave several organ concerts in USA, Italy,
France and Sweden.
Incorporating the sonorities of the church organ has become an important part of PLPs unique sound both on
record and at live concerts.
